An interview with Ian Rellik

Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride on that fateful day?
The weather was horrible and I was on my way to Ipswich when my car had broke down. As it was very inconvenient for me to walk such a long distance in a heavy rain, I wanted a ride to my destination.

What happened when you boarded the car?
I thanked the man and tried to make myself comfortable in the car and be friendly with the family. As I have been out for the whole day, i was too tired to reply some of their questions therefore i paused a moment. The family also told me that it was their son’s birthday and I offered to shake his hand.

What was your impression of the family who gave you a ride?
I thought that the family was really nice and friendly for giving me a free ride to my destination and they were very curious about me.

What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car? What makes you say so?
At first, i felt that he was very well-behaved and bought up well, but he kept glancing and looking at me creepily as if i’m some murderer. He also looked over-worried.

How did the boy attack you and what happened after that?
The boy pushed and kicked me out of the car through a loose side of the car door and before i knew it, i was already spinning and rolling on the road. Then a tractor trailer came speeding towards me and before i could save myself, i was crushed to death.

Did you see your own body after the death? How do you feel about your unfortunate death?
Yes, i saw all my minced meat on the road and i felt really hurt as their son had caused me to die and it was an unfortunate incident. I also felt very self pity
