Interview with Ian Rellik by Ryan Goh

video

Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride on that faithful day?
My car broke down, and I was lucky to manage to hitch a ride until Southwold. I was on my way home, and at that time, I was glad that someone had stopped to pick me up.

What happened when you boarded the car?
When I entered the car, the kind man tried to strike a conversation with me. I sensed the tension in the air of the car, and realized a argument had taken place moments before, so I  made sure to be polite. After that, I found out that the boy sitting beside me was celebrating his 15th birthday. When I turned to wish him well, he looked at me suspiciously.

What was your impression of the family that gave you a ride?
Personally, I think that the family was very kind to give me a ride back home, but my impression of the boy was that he was rather scared of me, of which the reason I knew not.

What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car? What makes you say so?
I was worried that the boy next to me was mentally insane or something. He kept acting weirdly, and was always staring at me.

How did the boy attack you and what happened after that?
It happened so suddenly. I found myself flying out of the car. I was expecting him to do something, as I saw his muscles flex before I was brutally pushed out of the car. I use my muscles frequently enough to know that.

Did you see your own body after the death? How did you feel about your unfortunate death?
Yes I did. I was shocked at the result. I remember that I was crushed, and saw the boy’s father and the other driver, with horrified looks on their faces. I will never forget that.

Thank you very much for your time.

I was waling towards the next town when it started to pour, and a lovely couple and their son offered me a lift.

I was questioned on my reasons for walking, and they took an interest in me. I was told it was the boys birthday, so I shook his hand. I think he thought I was threatening him. I didn’t correct him. Well, look where that got me.

They were like any other family, taking a road trip on a nice sunny day.

He was quite timid. I don’t like to judge, but he was a coward, moving as far away as he could from me.

He got his back against the wall, and pushed me out with all his might. I was caught off guard and I would have survived, if not for that stupid truck. If I had another chance, you would have three more people to interview.

Yes, I saw my own body. It was mush, blood was splattered everywhere, and every bone in my body looked broken. At least its over now...

Interview with Ian Rellik - Afif

video
Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride that faithful day?
I was going back home from my workplace, the asylum, to Ipswich when my car had broken down. I wanted to call a mechanic but there was no reception. I also had no money to take the train. So, I decided to hitchhike to Ipswich. Suddenly, when I was hitchhiking, I saw a car and decided to ask for a ride instead of having to hitchhike all he way back to my home.

What happened when you boarded the car?
When I first boarded the car, the family in the car started asking me questions about where my car had broken down. I could tell that they were puzzled when I told them. The rain had also affected my clarity, as most of the things I said was not what it really meant.

What was your impression of the family who gave you a ride?
I thought that they were very nice, having to give me a ride back home instead of ignoring me and carrying on.

What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car?
He was nervous and timid. He was very quiet and observed my every move. Although I tried to be friendly with him, he still kept quiet.

How did the boy attack you and what happened after that?
He had kicked me in the stomach, so hard that I flew out of the car. I tried to hold on to the latch of the door, but did not manage to hold on and got ran over by a tractor.

Did you see your own body after the death? How do you feel about your unfortunate death?
I saw it. It was really gruesome. I felt angry and at the same time that I was taken away so fast. But what could I do, the damage has been done.

Sorry if the "Ian Renwick-part" is too soft. You can read the subtitles if you cannot hear it.
Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride that faithful day?
My car had broken down when I was on the way home from work. It was raining so I decided to hitch a ride, if not I would have walked.
What happened after you boarded the car?
I was asked brief questions about where I lived so that they could drop me off at the right place.
What was your impression of the family who gave you a ride?
I thought the father was kind to have picked me up in such a weather. The rest of the family seemed fine.

What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car?
It was his 15th birthday so I congratulated him. After a while he started to stare at me as if he was afraid. I found him very weird.

How did the boy attack you and what happened after that?
The boy kicked me towards the door closest to me. Somehow it gave way and burst open. Following that, i tumbled out and got crushed by a huge force, probably a huge vehicle.

Did you see your own body after the death? How do you feel about your unfortunate death?
No I did not. I was teleported here immediately. I do not think much about my death. It was so sudden and I have little memory of what had happened. But I do pity the boy as I heard he was mentally unsound and was moved to an asylum.

Interview (Ian Rellik)

On that day, I was heading to Ipswich but suddenly my car broke down at Lowestoft. That's why I hitched a ride.

When I boarded the car, the driver asked questions about me, such as why did I hitched a ride and where should he drop me.

They are very friendly and helpful.

The boy sitting at the back of the car was quite mysterious.  He kept staring at my every move that I made. I started a conversation with him, but he seemed to had ignored it.

Suddenly, the boy yelled out and curled up in the corner to kick me. My hands were in my jacket so I could not defend myself. I was thrown back against the door and out into the rain. A tractor trailer suddenly came and went over me.

Yes, I saw my body. My whole body was splattered with blood everywhere. I don't know why the boy had pushed me down which caused my death.

Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride that faithful day?
My car had broken down just across the mountain right next to Fairfield's. So I decided to go back to town by foot, and get some repair tools to repair my car. But it was night I could barely see anything on the A12 as there were no streetlights at all. There was a car behind me, I had to hitched the ride, if not i could die anytime on the A12, but... i still died

What happened after you boarded the car?
I asked about the family, why they were all the way at some place as close as Fairfield's, it seems they were celebrating their son’s, Jason or Jacob or something, birthday.

What was your impression of the family who gave you a ride?
The parents were relatively nice, they answered my questions kindly, I wanted to have a long chat with them, but I was really tired.

What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car?
He was really weird, I could not help but think, the way he stared into my eyes, those eyes looked as if he was a demon, plus he kept watching my every move.

How did the boy attack you and what happened after that?
I was just sitting down peacefully, watching the scenery, but next thing you know, bam. Got kicked out of the car, and to add on to it, I got run-over by a truck, ouch...

Did you see your own body after the death? How do you feel about your unfortunate death?
It was a horrible sight. Seeing my body lay in a pool of blood, and my brains popping out, I was indeed horrified.... but..... why me? I was just an innocent gardener, not like what the boy claimed, a crazy killer, a mad man, a criminal, I was just an ordinary civilian, but i can’t blame him though, he was mentally insane from the moment i met him.

Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride on that fateful day?
The weather was horrible and I was on my way to Ipswich when my car had broke down. As it was very inconvenient for me to walk such a long distance in a heavy rain, I wanted a ride to my destination.

What happened when you boarded the car?
I thanked the man and tried to make myself comfortable in the car and be friendly with the family. As I have been out for the whole day, i was too tired to reply some of their questions therefore i paused a moment. The family also told me that it was their son’s birthday and I offered to shake his hand.

What was your impression of the family who gave you a ride?
I thought that the family was really nice and friendly for giving me a free ride to my destination and they were very curious about me.

What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car? What makes you say so?
At first, i felt that he was very well-behaved and bought up well, but he kept glancing and looking at me creepily as if i’m some murderer. He also looked over-worried.

How did the boy attack you and what happened after that?
The boy pushed and kicked me out of the car through a loose side of the car door and before i knew it, i was already spinning and rolling on the road. Then a tractor trailer came speeding towards me and before i could save myself, i was crushed to death.

Did you see your own body after the death? How do you feel about your unfortunate death?
Yes, i saw all my minced meat on the road and i felt really hurt as their son had caused me to die and it was an unfortunate incident. I also felt very self pity

Michael's Interview

Q1.Well, I was driving home one day when my car broke down at Lowesoft, so I hitchhiked all the way near my workplace. Then I saw a car coming my way and I flagged it. They were also going in the same direction as I was going so I boarded the car.

Q2. The driver was very friendly. he asked many questions and started a conversation with me. Then they said it was the boy's birthday so I shook his hands. I suddenly felt a cramp in my arm so I pulled my arm back

Q3. I felt that they were kind and nice to give me the ride, even though the driver's wife obviously did not like it and that the boy at the backseat kept staring at me.

Q4. I could tell he was afraid, probably never met a hitchhiker before. He look very familiar though, like I've seen him before.

Q5. Well, I was about to check my cigarette box for cigarettes when he suddenly pushed me. The door gave way and I fell out of the car. Before I could run, I felt a huge weight over me and my body splattered into a million pieces

Q6. Yes. Before the bus brought me here, I saw my body all over the road. Then, I saw the family going into the metal asylum. That was when I realised that the boy was from the asylum. I feel that I was just unlucky and I forgive them as the boy was mentally unsound.

Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride on that fateful day?
It was a rainy day that day. The weather was really terrible when I wanted to go home from work at the asylum for the mentally insane. My car broke down in the middle of the journey to Ipswich and I decided to hitchhike a ride.

What happened when you boarded the car?
I thanked the man who gave me a lift and sat at the seat at the back. The man was with his family. He was with his wife and son and we talked to get to know each other more.

What was your impression of the family who gave you a ride?
I thought that they were nice as the husband and his wife were really welcoming and friendly. But I did not understood why they came from the same direction as the asylum.

What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car? What makes you say so?
I found the boy who was sitting at the back of the car quiet and well-behaved at first as he sat beside me. He looked really familiar to me ad that was when I realised that he was from the asylum from the mentally insane and that I saw him a handful of times.

How did the boy attack you and what happened after that?
The boy pushed me towards the door that was apparently faulty. I hit the road in a spinning, splattering somersault and fell under the front wheels of a tractor trailer. The boy’s car and the tractor trailer stopped after that.

Did you see your own body after the death? How do you feel about your unfortunate death?
I did not see my body after my death as my body was like minced meat all over the road. I felt really, really sad about my unfortunate death because it was not my fault.

Script:

It was a lonely street.  I was from lowestoft when my car broke down. I was almost at Ipswich when this car came along and decided to try to hitch a ride since i was cold and wet.

I got in the car and tried to act friendly. I answered a few of their questions and wished happy birthday to their son next to me

Well, the father was quite friendly and helpful. Jacob and his mother looked quite suspicious of me.

He was quite timid and quiet. !!!  He did not talk to me and did not look at me when i was talking to him    He looked ant me suspiciously a few times. He must have thought i was from Far fields!

First he curled up in a ball in the corner of his seat and then he shot out his legs towards me. The door must have been unlocked as i fell straight out on the cold wet tarmac.

Yes. It was quite a gruesome sight. A truck had ran over my body and my body was splattered everywhere. I felt quite sad that i could not see my family for the last time.

The Hitchhiker Part 2

With regards to the hitchhiker, what do you think that Jacob might do next in the next part of the story?
