Active Listening (Ikmal)

Do you find yourself speaking up too soon?
I find myself speaking up too soon.

If so, how can you clear your mind to clearly listen?
I can clear my mind to fully listen by listening to what other people have to say and polish my ideas while listening to them and when they are finished speaking, I would voice out my ideas.

Do you ever find yourself wanting to jump in because you are eager to share?
Yes because there are some errors in the person's ideas and I want to correct them and my idea could also be better than theirs.

How can you channel your excitement into listening and wait for the opportunity to share?
I can channel my excitement by listing down mentally all the ideas that I have and what I want to say before I am given the opportunity to speak.

What else can you do to prepare for conversations with others?
I can make up some ideas and adjust them to suit the needs of the conversation.

Can we ask them up front what they are looking for? (advice, a sounding board, solutions)
We can ask what they are looking for when they are not talking to anyone else.

How does it make you feel to be cut off in the middle of your thought?
I would feel a little irritated because I would not be able to continue thinking and I might forget about the idea.
