Active Listening

Do you ever find yourself speaking up too soon?

Yes.

If so, how can you clear your mind to fully listen?

Pay much attention to the speaker, don't think of other things that are not related to the topic .

Do you ever find yourself wanting to jump in because you are eager to share?

Yes, I do

How can you channel your excitement into listening and wait for the proper opportunity to share?

We should learn to control our excitement, and resist our urge to speak suddenly and randomly

What else can you do to prepare for conversations with others?

We can defer judgement and respond appropriately. This means we must not interrupt others when speaking and when they finally finish we can start saying what we think or what's our opinion on the specific topic. Even if we are listening, others might think we are not, so whenever in a conversation show that you are listening

Can we ask them up front what they are looking for?

We should just ask them, but not too much as they might feel embarassed

How does it make you feel to be cut off in the middle of your thought?

I will feel especially irritated due to the fact that I have been cut off rudely without even finishing what I want to say
